We are A+ Auto Diesel & Transmission, an auto and diesel repair shop at 522B Dover Rd, Clarksville, TN 37042. This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, call us at (931) 263-4096 or email contact@aautoanddieselandtransmission.com and ask.
What we collect
When you fill in the estimate request form, we collect what you type into it: your name, your phone number, your email address if you choose to give one, your vehicle’s year, make and model, and whatever you tell us about the problem. The email address is optional. The rest is there because we need a way to reach you and something to go on.
We do not ask for payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or anything similar through this website, and you should not send them to us this way.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps automatic server logs. Those record things like the network address a request came from, the browser used and the pages visited. We use them to keep the site running and secure.
Why we collect it
To call or email you back about your vehicle, and to keep a record of what you asked us about. That is the whole reason.
Who sees it
Us. Estimate requests are emailed to the shop and stored on this website. We do not sell your information and we do not hand it to anyone else for their own marketing.
A few companies handle data on our behalf, because they run pieces this site is built on:
- Our web host, which stores the site and the requests sent through it
- Our email provider, which carries the notification to us
- Google, which provides the spam protection and the map described below
We will also share information where the law requires it.
Spam protection
This site uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell real visitors from automated ones on the estimate form. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information from your device and sends it to Google for analysis. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that.
The map
The hours section shows a Google Maps embed so you can find the shop. Loading that map means your browser contacts Google, and Google may set cookies or collect usage data under its own policies.
Analytics and advertising
We use analytics and advertising tools to understand how people find and use this site, and to measure whether our advertising is working. These may set cookies in your browser or use similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
How long we keep it
We keep estimate requests for as long as we may need them for your vehicle and for our own records. If you would like yours removed sooner, ask us and we will remove it.
Your choices
Call or email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. There is no form to fill in for that. Depending on where you live you may have specific legal rights over your personal information, and we will honor those requests either way.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging vehicle repair. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
